The BHOOMI APK is a powerful land records management system developed by the Karnataka State Government. It aims to provide a comprehensive solution for managing land ownership and related information. BHOOMI was inaugurated in the year 2000 and has since digitized all the manual RTCs (Record of Rights, Tenancy, and Crops) that were previously in use. These digitized records are now easily accessible to citizens through Kiosk Centers. The system also handles ownership and other changes in the RTCs through a mutation process, ensuring that the Land Records database is always up-to-date and accurate.

To support the implementation of the BHOOMI project, back offices have been established in all taluks of the state. LR Kiosks and Application Kiosks have also been set up in these centers, providing convenient access to the land records. This makes it easier for citizens to obtain information about land ownership and related details.
